Broussard is no stranger to the music business. He has had one of
the longest running success streaks of any group that we know of.
His roots go all of the way back to 1954 when he formed his first rock
group way back in 1954, almost a half century ago. Who would have
ever thought that this talented individual would be just as popular in
the year 2000 as he was in the fifties. It almost takes one's
away. Van has been recording for Jimmy Rogers' CSP record label
the past several years and has come up with a whopping six CD's and
to a hundred songs recorded. His current band, the "Bayou Boogie Band"
is performing all over South Louisiana in the hottest night
If ever a man could lay claim to the term, "Swamp Pop King", it would

a large horn section, one of the secrets of his success. Van's
Grace Broussard had several chart recordings under the name of "Dale
Grace" in the sixties, including, "I'm Leavin' It All Up To You", and,
"We've Got To Stop And Think It Over". After Van teamed up with
Rogers, his popularity soared and his recordings began to sell big
Van was inducted into the Louisiana Hall of Fame in 1997.
