VOLUME 2

Born in Gonzales, Louisiana on March 22, 1954, Mike Broussard started playing the guitar at age twelve.  In 1968, he formed his first band, "The Drifters".  Mike Broussard formed the Nite Train Band in 1977.  The tracks on this album come from recording sessions in 1988, 1990 and 1991.  The answer for Mike Broussard's appeal is his staying power.  "It's because we try to mix up our music by playing a wide variety", says Mike about his continued popularity.  In 1999, the South Louisiana Music Association presented Mike Broussard with the Pioneer Award at their annual awards show.  Their new release on CSP Records is one of the most interesting collections of South Louisiana music that anyone would want to hear.  We are proud to bring this great variety of South Louisiana Music to the public, finally, on CD format.
