Crosscut is a brand new group from the Dallas, Texas area.   Jerry Sartain, the lead guitarist and lead vocalist is no stranger to south Louisiana having performed with a band named Showdown in the Lafayette area.  This is a fantastic Southern Soul - Country Blues sound.  Their brand new release "Destination Anywhere"  blends Louisiana Swamp Blues with Texas Roadhouse Blues and a little pinch of Cajun and Zydeco!  The album contains  original songs written by the members of the band and Swamp Pop covers.  If you enjoyed the first CD, then this one is sure to knock your lights out !!  This CD features the dynamic "White Trash Horns" featuring Jon Smith and Steve Howard.
This fantastic group can be heard performing all over the East Texas and South Louisiana area.  If you are in the mood for some great soulful dance music, just like it used to be, then this group is a "must hear them live" type of group.  The group has a natural feel for each other and this is so evident when one witnesses a live performance.  There is no club in South Louisiana that would not jump when Crosscut cranks the music!

Jerry Sartain says that one of the biggest breaks for the band came when he met Jimmy Rogers of CSP Records.  Jerry says that Jimmy Rogers worked with them all the way to get the finest sound production available.  Crystal clear vocals, awash in a blues dipped group featuring Terry Vieregge on bass guitar, Chuck Mabrey on keys and harmonica, and the solid beat of Lavell Jones on drums.  So if it is excitement that you seek, look no further.

Crosscut has it's own fabulous website.  Just click here and you can check it out!
